Conclusion

Over the course of this semester we have learned a lot regarding Digital Signal Processing (DSP) both in lecture and through assignments. This project was a great way for us to explore the real world applications of DSP. We chose a task involving Neural Networks, a concept that we have never worked with. We chose this topic to challenge ourselves and learn. Through this project we have not only learned some basics of Neural Networks, but also how to harness the capabilities of a GPU on a computer. By working with a convolutional neural network, we were able to visually see the effects of 2-D convolution and reinforce our DSP knowledge. Although the semester is coming to an end, we hope to continue learning and implementing this algorithm.
